AUTONOMOUS WATERCRAFT NAVIGATION

And other applications of machine learning for complex systems

We work with university, government, and industry partners to solve the “yet unsolved.”

WHY CHOOSE US?

1

OUR PEOPLE

The Sentiont team is centered by (1) high-quality work (setting the bar), (2) humility (acknowledging that there is always more to learn), (3) a growth mindset ("I can learn"), and (4) honorability (doing the right thing). Embodying these characteristics guides our actions and decisions, ensuring that we always act with integrity and build trust with our stakeholders.

2

OUR PAST PERFORMANCE

Sentiont's past performance paints a picture of technical and operational excellence that we are eager to replicate. As the common adage goes, "the best predictor of future performance is past performance."

The proof of our excellent work is in our clients' increasing trust in us as a subcontractor, evidenced by increased scope of work and by word-of-mouth referrals. For example, Sentiont has worked for 3+ years on R&D of autonomous watercraft with the University of South Alabama (USA) Systems Engineering department. Sentiont's autonomous watercraft subcontract has been renewed 3x, with increasing scope and responsibility each year (10x funding in FY'24 compared to FY'21). Furthermore, through word-of-mouth referral from Systems Engineering professors, Sentiont has begun new cybersecurity work with USA Computer Science (as of September 2024).

3

OUR COMPLIANT PRACTICES

We take our accounting and cybersecurity seriously. Not only do we comply with government contract and subcontract requirements, we care deeply about (1) having transparent operational practices, and (2) protecting our partners' hard-earned IP and trade secrets.

Accounting: Our high standards of time-and-effort and expense reporting enable us to calculate detailed breakdowns of Direct, Overhead, G&A, and Fringe expenses. Analyzing these financial statements paints a picture: (1) we pay top-of-market salaries to attract top-of-market talent, and (2) we reinvest profit into directives that increase staff efficiency, allowing us to focus on thought work and innovation.

Cybersecurity: Sentiont maintains an up-to-date System Security Plan and increasingly short Plan of Actions and Milestones (POAM) document. By taking the necessary steps for compliance with DFARS 7012 and NIST SP 800 - 171, we have developed robust systems to secure proprietary and sensitive data and to train our team on appropriate handling of data, and sensitivity to potential threats.

Testimonials

  • "After hearing about the work that Sentiont was doing on another contract at the University of South Alabama, I first met with Christina in December of 2023. She took detailed notes on our upcoming project’s requirements and helped match our team with Sentiont’s Machine Learning and Hardware Researcher, Liam Oswald. Since beginning work together in September 2024, we have been very pleased with Liam’s work and additional support and guidance from Sam. I would recommend working with this team to other universities and businesses seeking specialized research support."

  • "As part of Auburn University’s Capstone Project initiative, Sentiont LLC proposed a challenging project on deepfake detection using advanced machine learning techniques, providing students with a unique opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research and collaborate with industry professionals. Sentiont’s AI/ML Researcher, Liam Oswald, offered invaluable guidance and regular feedback, while Sam Park ensured alignment with real-world applications from a management perspective. Their active involvement, from project formulation to celebrating the students’ accomplishments during the final presentation, demonstrated their commitment to the project’s success. This collaboration led to innovative solutions and gave our students an exceptional learning experience that bridged academia and industry. We deeply value this partnership with Sentiont LLC and look forward to future opportunities to work together."
